About Us

Owner and Founder Kyla Price was born and raised in Creek County Oklahoma. She and her husband Nick now raise their two cowboys Wyatt and Boone in Bristow, Ok.

Nick and Kyla have a driving passion to help others, be a friend to all and spread the love of Jesus. They have donated countless hours of their time and dollars, driving locally and into other states producing Dummy Roping’s free of charge for kids ages 1 – 13. Not only do they donate their time they give prizes away to each age division winners and small gifts to all the kids that enter the dummy roping.

Their love for giving back to the community has spread and the last two years they have been ask by the local Creek County Fair Committee to come and produce a dummy roping for the attending kids of the County Fair.

Most of the kids have never touched a rope, have no idea how to hold a rope or how to swing it. This is where Nick is at home and patiently helps each child giving pointers on how to hold and swing a rope. The kids love the event and it has grown. Kids that attended the first year went home obtained their own rope and came back the following year advanced and one winning her age division and a beautiful trophy buckle.

Both years they have given away Trophy Buckles to the winner of each age division and additional gift cards and prizes away to the runner up in each age division. Each child that entered also received a free prize just for entering. They are looking forward to Fall of 2023 when they have been ask to attend again, for the third consecutive year.

The past 5 years of producing dummy ropings, focusing on Patriotism and their faith in Christ they have together produced countless Dummy Ropings for Rodeo’s, Team Roping Producers and County Fairs. They look to the future and adding a new venture of helping kids in their community.

Nick and Kyla are currently working on getting a Day Camp up and going for inner city kids. Again free of charge for those kids that live in trailer parks, apartments, or just in town. Kids that have never touched, rode or smelled a horse. They want to give these inner city kids a hands on glimpse of what a day in the life of a Cowboy or Cowgirl looks like. In hopes it will spark a fire inside them, for not only the ranching and rodeo way of life but what Jesus can do for them in their lives.

Teaching them the basics of horse and cattle care, with an opportunity for each child to have a hands on experience that they can carry with them for a lifetime.

If you are interested in having Nick and Kyla come to an event that you are producing or planning, please email Kyla at: CUSTOMERSERVICE@THETWISTEDFILLY.COM. They are always looking for opportunities to share their love for the western world and all it stands for.
